I have owned a 1988 Mini Designer since January. When i bought it, it came with no owners manual or brochure
Im looking to buy a owners manual but am unsure of which one is right for my car :)

Is there anyone that could help me out?

A copy of Original Sales Brochure can be found here...

Mini 'LE' Register - Designer Listing

Hope this helps a little...

The brochure is pretty hard to come by, the one in circulation on the internet is most likely mine :)

As for owners manual, I'd suggest looking on somewhere like eBay, they do turn up every now and then.
I'll keep a look out for you as I'm after one myself.

(Oh and come and join the Designer Register! *Grins* )

I believe the Austin-Rover manuals are all pretty much alike, just need to find one belonging to a 1988 998cc Mini as that's what would have most likely been supplied. Just had a look and there's one on eBay for £10 at the moment, wouldn't suggest buying though as it doesn't look in particularly good nick. All the same, it should put you in the picture of what you're after.

Yup... I found another one of those though that didn't look too brill. That one doesn't look half-bad though.

You saw it first, so you get first dibs! :D

That's the owners handbook that came with my first Mini, which was a 1975 MKIII Mini 1000. So unless you own a Mini 850 & 1000 of October 1969 to October 1976 vintage, then that manual won't really apply to you?

The 1980's Mini manuals tended to be plain fronted with a green or blue 'Mini' motif in large letters.

To be honest, my 1990 Mini Cooper owner's handbook would be closer to your Mini Designer LE, than that 1970's one on e-Bay: -

To be honest, I think I garnered that upon closer inspection, 'because those pics on t' front aren't the right Mini types... Hope Nicole catches this thread and doesn't spend her hard earned on duff gen!
