Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions regarding replacement speakers that fit straight into the holes left by the factory standard speakers on the later Rover minis. I know it's possible to enlarge the holes to fit 6x9s etc, but although it sounds like a minor point, I don't want to carry out any modifications that can't be reversed, so cutting chunks out of the parcel shelf isn't an option. I would also like to avoid drilling holes for screws/bolts if possible, even if this means the speakers are only held in by two. At the moment I've got a couple of Sony 13cm speakers sat in the holes, but these are a bit too small and can't be mounted properly without screwing or drilling new holes into the shelf. Any ideas would be appreciated!

You want 6.5" (18cm?) speakers to fill the holes of the standard ones, but you might need to drill a couple of new holes to make them fit securely (not vibrations etc). Also, if you get coaxial speakers, they should fit the standard connection too! Unless you want to upgrade to high end speakers...

6.5" speakers fit fine without any cutting.
Has anyone fitted 4 speakers into the parcel shelf? I'm sure there was a thread before where some one was going to put 4 alpine speakers into the shelf in a custom pod?
