The only way to sort that out properly is to remove all paint and primer etc, and get it back to bare metal, etch prime it and the prime with a high build 2k primer, and then topcoat. You're asking for trouble hiding reactions under primer. Filler primer is slightly thicker than high build primer, although people use both names to describe both products so it gets a bit confusing. A good high build 2k primer such as Lechler green ti, is perfectly sufficient to cover imperfections, if it's not then you need to rectify them prior to primer.

ah that sounds like a plan! there is about 3 spots where that reaction is happening. is liquid putty fo;;er used before the primer or is that itself a primer?

Sorry I have no idea what liquid putty is! all you should need is stopper and high build primer.

yes, spray putty, thats the stuff! i am lost when it comes to painting (though im learning)

here is what i am talking about http://cgi.ebay.co.u...utt...:1|294:30

so i should sand down the old paintwork, apply this spray putty stuff, then sand and smooth the putty surface and then paint (i take it this stuff is a primer as well and is thinker than normal primer)?
