I think the mini shed got closed down (if its the mini shed that used to be in bletchley) because they took peoples cars and money and people didn't see cars or money again.

There used to be a place called mk mini spares out towards nash i believe (not 100% sure) and they could be contacted on 01296 713830. Not got a clue if they're second hand style/mini scrapper or what. Worth a call though i suppose?!

Hope it helps.

I was driving over to Mountney at Leighton Buzzard and thought I might drop in to see what sort of stuff they done, because got a 1380 race engine with no timing marks anywhere and can only keep it going at about 2000rpm, don't know it the dizzy is the right, a series spindle running with ballast ignition, also trying to run it with old set of hs2 as hif44 i had start leaking petrol, plus got no vac advance so may have to change for a weber, so also want to pick their brains about it. If you think you might help, where abouts are you. Thanks

To be honest Im more of a repairer rather than selling mechanical parts. Write a full spec of the engine and I/we can advise

it is 1380 omega cast pistons, stage 4 head, jkd straight cut box, lsd, metro turbo verto plate, helical drops, cast rockers, lcb exhaust, running mech pump until get 8mm pipes in, twin hs2 scruffy, not entirely sure what dizzy is, think it is an older lucas turned aldon affair, again no timing marks or speedo drive. Thanks

That wont run properly. You need a solid state fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. 8mm fuel lines wont make much difference. You need to find out exactly what the dizzy is. If its Aldon it will have numbers engraved into it, email them with the numbers and ask what it is.
Once thats sorted it needs to go on a rolling road.

I have a facet silver top comp and a 67mm alloy bowl regulator, to go with the larger pipes, just need to get round to fitting them, so why won't it run without them. Do you think I will need to upgrade to a weber.

What cam is in it? The mechanical pump just wont deliver enough fuel. A Weber would be better if you have anything more than a 276 cam. Do you know who built the engine and modified the head?

kent 286, might see if i can get 45dcoe, thought it would run on mech pump but would just lose some bhp, until I got the facet pump in there. Don't know who built engine originally just been stripped painted and rebuilt with gaskets etc by a guy in his garage. Need to chase up the dizzy code if not might just buy a new 100ay as aldon recommend it for 276 and above.
