problem 1
i won this on ebay http://www.minispare...ty=pb&pid=34220 and fitted it tonight however the throttle linkage on the carb fowls on the back of the inlet and basically wont let it move. is there a shim i can get just to give me an extra few mil to space the carb back more or do i just try filing it a bit

problem 2
i go a drop kit to lower the steering rack however the bolt i am supposed to remove is flat one end and is the threaded end of a bolt the other how do i remove it

problem 1 - you should have a black carb spacer like this http://www.minispare...ty=pb&pid=37146. This will push the carb back enough for the linkage to clear the inlet

problem 2 - I usually tap the flat end around with a punch and hammer then when its undone enough clamp some mole grips on and undo it that way.

I do vaugely recall have to modify the metal bracket that the throttle and choke cable clips into on my bro's mini but i didnt have any probs with the linkage like that. You could probably file the inlet down abit to clear the linkage. It looks like it only needs a nats whisker taking off.

I've had similar problems in the past, just a quick touch with the mini grinder was all that was needed, a file would do, as mentioned by mars red mike you just need a very small clearance.
