Hey people......just wondered if a 1275 would fit strait into a mini city??? If not...whats different and would need changing??

Take it your talking about the whole engine??? It will fit straight in it'll be a tight fit but it will fit in you may have to put the wiper filler bottle in the boot or somewhere else but it should fit no problems.

Sorry Cagy, that's not quite correct...

Externally the 998 and 1275 are the same size, so will fit easily using the mini's mount in place of the Metro's.
Things like carb, starter, and some wiring may well need modifying/changing too.

sorry i knew that people had done it but i knew it was a tight fit so i presumed some things had to be slightly changed but wasn't entirely sure if it was just minor things

Hey dan, yeah it should be a straight maybe apart from some of the wiring? (said above) swap in your Mini from the 998, I take it your talking about the engine you was thinking of buying?

Whats wrong with the 998 though?
