hi there, i have a mg metro turbo engine that i have fitted in my a reg mini. the dizzy has 3 pins that come off it. Now (green/yellow) (pink/yellow) abd (pink/black). After trying all six of the combinations it appears that the green/yellow makes no difference. However the other two wires one way round yields nothing, when you swap them over, the engine very nearly kicks and fires.

Does anyone know what im doing wrong? Iv had a few minis but never done a turbo project before.

My dizzy has the following numbers on it

AUU1533 2003

42661A 1588

If anyone could tell me if iv got the right dizzy/coil setup id appreciate it aswell

many thanks

i have recently put an mg metro turbo engine in my mini too. i only recal there being two wires out of the dizzy though and i too had trouble firing. turned out in my case it was an external ignition amp that the two wires out the dizzy went to then from the amp to the coil. not sure if this helps.
