Hi Guys,

I just bought an Alloy 'Minifin' rocker cover which I thinks off the Metro Turbo?! Anyway its pretty rough looking thanks to the usual alloy corrosion. What would be the best process to get it back to shiny again and then ensure it stays that way?

Im guessing wet and dry and a load of elbow grease?

I did use the search as I always do, but couldn't see anything. If its been covered before just point me in the right direction.

Cheers

H

I did one years ago. Think I used 1200 - 1500 grit wet and dry until all the corrosion had gone and then polished it up by hand with Autosol. Came out a treat.

I used a jml doctor power to do mine then wet and dry. basicaly its a tub of cleaning compound and a very fine scourer you add water and it claims to clean anything, glass rust on chrome, overspray oil, mirrors double glazing surrounds upvc etc. IM gulable but do you know what it worked a treat got all the manky white corrosion off and is also fab for wheels!!! only cost a fiver too. it got all the crap off then i used 1200 to finish it off
