Welding Stick Help

I can borow my father-inlaws welder what sticks and how many would i need roughly to weld the floor and rear arches in i want to order them online so links or links to good deals would be greatfully appreciated

Can I be honest?

If you have to ask these questions then stick welding is not the way to go.

Even experienced welders struggle to weld rusted mini panels with an arc welder, and from the sounds of it you're a novice.

Yes it is more than possible to do it however I would advise you against attempting it.

Sorry to sound negative but I'd hate to see you waste your time and effort, much better to hire or borrow a MIG welder.

i hate arc welding on a mini!!! especially with rust and paint and god knows what else you'll find on a mini. I prefer MIG

as a welder by trade i can recommend that you dont use a stick welder and the main reason is that to make the weld burn through both panels properly you will need to put some heat in to the panel and this will result in you burning through more frequently than you would with a mig and holes are really difficult to weld up with a stick welder so my advice is not to do it with a stick welder buy or hire a mig welder and make it easier on your self

Thanks guys I have done some arc welding before and made a pretty good job but never on this mini panels so thanks for the heads up will look into purchasing a mig again thanks for the heads up
