Hello, fist post. So here goes.

I've had my mini for quit a while now, but i've always been busy and ihave never really had any time to fix it up. One of the many problems which afflicts it (isnt it always the way) is the complete and total utter lack of any form of headlining inside. Its just the bare metal. I've been sitting on the headlining material for a while now, and i've only recently got a hold of a set of ribs. ... Not i have to fit it. here do i even start. i think i have the right order for the ribs, but i'm just going by eye and instinct here, so if anyone has the 100% correct order for them that would be great. Anyway, the way the ribs are put in now, they still feel quite loose. this means that when i pop the headliner in it flops down the other way round, hanging into the car. I feel like i chould be glueing the material to the roof inbetween the ribs, but i dont know what type of effect this might have on the material underneath, or even what glue to use. (For some reason i have a load of doublesided carpet tape -very very strong and tacky double sided) I'm a bit apprehensive about doing this though as I really would have to get i right first time., Also i have simply no idea what to do with the edge. should i cut it and then fold it under? Is there meant to be a plastic seal round the top of the ridge that runs round the inside of the roof, like the one on the doors? Basically i have no idea where to begin, and i only have this week pretty much, before i'm plunged back into a torrent of work, again. Anyone who has gone though this, i could really use your help!

some other things.
my mini is a 1983 mayfair. What kind of badge should be on the front? There was a horrible new bmw one on there when i got it. (obviously, it came right off!)

and lastly, I have 2 spots on the front with very dodgy wiring and very poorly hooked up. lierally screwed straight into the little area behnind the bumper. I need to replace them, natch, but how hard is it to wire a 4 spot setup? I have to cofess i knoe very little about electrics.

anyway, any help anyone could give me in these matters would be a tremendous help. Thanks!
