Hey everyone, been directed by bungle to ask you all about fitting a wheelchair in a mini.

My friend is in a cast up to her knee for the next 5 weeks as she's broken her foot. She isn't very good on crutches, they kill her hands and arms and she generally gets tired! So on the london to brighton run this weekend we want to bring a wheelchair in the mini :D

Has anyone managed to fit one in the back of a mini before? Or got any good ideas of how to carry one? Bungle said about a bike rack!

Grateful for any advice,

amy

They normaly have the wheelchair in the back of a clubby estate.
if this isnt an option they did have the wheelchair on the back seat of a regular mini before.

the wheelchair hasnt got a vert high back to it and you can take the wheels off.

Once collapsed and with no wheels, it fit in the back seat fine.

Sorted, we've hired the smallest chair we could get. Folded up it fits on the back seat with a slight struggle! It's a push-along one not self propelled so it looks like I'm going to get a work-out at Brighton!
