Thats the first thing to try , if that dont cure it then it is the matrix.

I sure hope it doesn't turn out to be the matrix..... anyone know the best(i.e. cheapeast) place for a replacement matrix?

I mean it really is just a drip, i remember fixing my house radiator for exactly the same thing a couple of years back.... obviously modern gas central heating is pretty high pressure so the tape is up to that, its gotta be up to a little metal water pumps feeble output surely?

Well it is the matrix....stripped it down and the bottom loop pipe has 4 holes in it.... tried my hand at brazing them, but no luck still a leak (albeit a smaller one).
So off I go to buy a new matrix.
My heater matrix is also leaking in my Pickup, I was going to remove the whole heater unit and not even both with a heater at all! Assume you can get a bottom hose with no heater take off and something to plug the clyinder hear tap.

I think by the time you bought all the replacement pipes and fitted them it would be less work/hassle buying a new matrix and fitting that. Only my thought, I quite like the idea of warm air in the cabin when its baltic outside...
