Having a bit of trouble, maybe someone can help.

My car radio can play USB and SD cards and Im trying to use those functions unsuccessfully.

Ive ripped off from my CD and tried to use the SYNC function to put the music onto both the memory stick and SD card. If I look at either on the laptop it shows the files and they will play but when I put them into the car radio it says there is no file.

Ive tried copy and paste from MY MUSIC onto both the memory stick and the SD card and the same thing happens when in the car radio.

The radio instructions only say how to install the USB and SD cards into it and nothing about downloading onto the removeable devices.

Any ideas?

Paul

my stereo has usb/flash memory and as soon as you plug in a usb, it reads it and plays files.... have you tried files in different formats?

What is the file name in Windows?
Is it, say, hotfunkyjazz.mp3 or hotfunkyjazz.wma?
What model is your head unit?

Not this one from Maplin?

Maplin link

Because if it is, it only supports MP3, not WMA.
Windows will save the music as a WMA file by default.

Q) Does the sd card slot support wma tracks
A) No sorry this product does not support that.

To change this, right-click the icon in the top-left of the window (the Windows Media player icon).
Then choose "Classic Menus".
Then go to Tools -> Options.
Go to the Rip Music Tab and change the format to MP3.

Delete the files from your SD Card.
Then rip the CD again and take two!

Pleasure matey! >_<

Edit: Forgot to ask - how does it sound? Is that 'cheapy' radio any good??
Bargain at £50 if it is.
