Related items to problem:

Ultralite flywheel with lightened back plate
Road rally clutch with orange diaphragm

Car became difficult to engage into gear with the clutch becoming harder and harder, Clutch was not disengaging, the car would still move with the clutch fully pressed.

I can move the clutch arm back and forth by hand rather easily.

I can start the car in gear and the clutch grips fine as good as ever, just will not disengage.

Does anyone have any ideas or what to expect when i rip the clutch apart tomorrow?

Engines just over a year old.

Made no funky noises, not that i can hear over the straight cuts anyway, just all of a sudden became Crap.

Sounds like the slave cylinder is gone.

I wonder if maybe the large nut on the clutch cover wasn't tight, and has wound itself in somewhat.
Have someone depress the clutch pedal and see if the stop nut is touching the clutch cover (bell housing?)....if so, back it off.

Just a thought as this did indeed happen to me. After a long run the nut had wound itself in.......clutch pedal was stiff, no travel.

by the way> if that's not the prob......most likely as mentioned, the slave or possible the rubber hose is old and swelling.

I forgot to mention I switched the slave, rebled it and played around with the nut on the end of bell housing. Still no luck. Shagged preassure plate or something?

If the arm is moving by hand, then it could be that the ball has snapped off the end of the clutch arm?
