found a company in birmingham (nationwide too) that will refurb and or respray alloy wheels.

filled in a form for a quote for my 5 cooper alloys to be sprayed matt black as im very tempted to get this done

was quoted £230 plus around 50-70 more as the tyres will need to be stripped and refiitted.

does anyone know of any places in the west midlands that will respray wheels for less or is this a good price?

wheel refurb thats the website if anyone is interested

Thats expensive, you dont need the tyres off just the beads broke to get to the wheel lip, also i can do them much cheaper than that depending on the amount of damage and wheel size and i live in coventry.

give the wheel place on the bilston road a try, just by where the tram branches off.

there's another place over in brownhills right at the bottom of Ogley road that advertise 4 wheels blasted and powder coated for £100 i think.

alloys are in good nick one needs a little refurb to it but ideally i wouldnt mind getting them sprayed matt black

thereason the tyres have to be of is this company remove the laquer and silver finish then shot blast them and spray all over

i think my dad has mentioned one on the bilston road to me before in order to get my two mashed up wheels refubished if possible anyway

i know i could =/ was only a thought as i like my wheels
and keeping them means no fiddling about with the wheel arches :)

tbf this company does do wheels for Ferrari's and alot of other sports cars haha so no wonder the price is so much.

to be fair though if you're only painting them matt black then you could do them easily at home with the tyres still on.

having had matt black wheels in the past on my car i think satin black would be a better choice, the matt ones just looked like they were constantly covered in brake dust.

I agree it's easy to do them yourself and Satin Black would look better
