That's one loved up little car
Think about putting some cash aside for when you have to tackle the rust head on with some new panels.
The only panels that will be replaced soon is the rear valence. The rest will be done when I have a second mini on the road then this will be striped and rebuilt completely. At the moment Im just sanding down and painting the rusty bits that appear.
Thanks for the comment.

First I sanded some more of my Mk1 bonnet down.

Now its sanded im unsure on how to paint it. How many layers for primer should I put on before I put paint on it?
I also went to take my window seals out as I have new ones and was planning on cutting speaker holes in the parcel shelf a that same time. After ripping my window seal I released I didn't have any cutting blades.

2moz I will also be buying some filler for the holes in my bonnet. Im hoping my stuff I ordered on line will be here 2moz as I can fit that as well. My plan is to get it drivable again ready for the trip to Thorpe Park next sunday.
Heres some more pics of the rust that slowly eating my car.

Cheers.

Now at the moment I have standard group 2 arches on my car. Will those fit? If not what arches should I get?
Also some plans for the roof and bonnet.
Im thinking this.

What does everybody think? And is anybody clever enough to photoshop them on to my car?

What are your plans for the rust?!
And as for tips on primer layers etc etc I'm sure I've seen a how to thread on here re best ways to deal with paintwork - if you don't have any luck finding it I'll have to search later and try to find the link - off to do some work now, yuk

No good with photo shop but do quite like that roof, unusual for me to like any kind of Union Jack styling but that's quite cool.

Ok well thanks. I'll have a search and see what I can find. As for the rust well the rear valance will be replaced before my next MOT and thats in march. The rest of the rust I will just be sanded down and painted until iv got a second mini on the road that should be end of next year. Then I will take this off the road and strip it replace all the panels that need it then spray it again (the same colour)
