Nice progress Jon!

That Heater sticker looks awesome!

Cheers. It's not coming along to badly at the moment. She does seemed to have picked up another problem now though. After I go out for quite a long drive when I stop a turn the engine off the engine seem to try and carry on going. But just splutters and then cuts out. Don't know why but I'm gonna have that looked at on Monday.

I'm so pleased with the sticker. I now can't wait for the switch panel one to arrive as well.

Could be timing?

The MGB will sometimes carry on running and then cut out once I've turned the ignition off - sound like that?

I fixed it. The choke cable was sticking so it wasnt going all the way in so it was still slightly open when I turned the engine off making it splutter slightly. Nothing a bit of WD40 couldn't fix.

Anyway. I'v been quoted £250 to have the front redone as well as having a set of air vents fitted as mine didn't have any in when I bought the car. I was very happy with that. I'm now just waiting for a fiberglass bonnet.

The guy thats doing the front end also sorted me out some Mk2 rear lights for a whole £10 woooo. I now just need to save the money to have all the work done. I should have the new front done and also hopefully the new engine in ready for the Riv Run.

Right well the stupid thing has broken down. God know why but I'll book it in to the garage and see if they can find the fault. Just more money I dont have that I now need to spend.

Having the front stripped and cut off. Then have the new panels welded on as well as having the wing indicators filled as my car dont have them. It also includes have a rear valance fitted and the little triangles for the pins welded in.

The guy doing it for me is a member of Basingstoke Mini Club. He's restored loadsssss of minis I had a look at the clubman he's just restored and its tip top.

The price doesn't include painting though as I'll be getting the whole car repainted and the paints crap on it.

Where abouts are you from then?

He hasn't really got a contact as such. I was just talking to him at a club meet and he said he would do the front for me. If you want something doing then I can speak to him if you like and see if he can do it.

Got loads done today although not on the car a such. I cleared all my mini buts I had cluttering the garage up and put them in 2 boxes which made loads of space for me to get the engine in. So after that to make moving the engine easier I made a little engine stand.

I'v also picked up a pair of mk2 tail lights a boot lid and some plastic door handles as well. I'll get some pictures up llater.

Right well I'v stupidly forgot to take any pictures again. But today I cleaned the car for the first time in ages. In fact the last time I cleaned the car was before the IMM last year :) .

O also put the plastic door handles on and fitted the headunit under the dash rail on the passenger side so its a little more hidden. I still haven't found out why my batteries going flat though. I had a look and the battery wire and that looks fine. The battery was new not so long ago so that SHOULD be fine. The battery earth is fine so I'm guessing that the alternator has gone bang. Rustys coming round with a voltmeter later to help me test that.

If that not the problem as anyone else got any ideas on what it could be?

Good luck with it all : )
