Just read all this from the start, you've certainly put the effort in and your mini looks a million times better than at the start. Looking forward to seeing the new front end on, remember to get it all waxoiled or it'll be rusty again in no time!

Thanks. Its looking alot better now although from being used everyday and being left outside the rust is starting to take over. I need to get a few bits of rust sorted behind the wheels then I'll have ago at waxoiling it.

You dad ever repay you for the creme egg or was it wasted?

It was wasted but not really his or my fault. They sold one door to someone else and damaged the other one so I didn't get them. I did pocket the badge off the bonnet though so its not all bad.

Your Mini is looking good with all the new stuff on it :D
Can't wait to see it when it is finished. Are you respraying the same colour??

Yea its staying the same colour. I always wanted a silver or purple mini but when I saw this one I fell in love with the colour. I'v only ever seen 3 other mini in this colour so its staying the same.

im glad you have the insurance sorted mate .

Cheers. Put the re-spray back a bit but at least it means I can drive it.

Thanks for the comment everyone.

Right I'm back from my little trip out today.

These are what I picked up for a grand total of £40.

They have been done in cellulose and just need to be gone round with a bit on wet and dry and then I'm gonna get them lacquered.

Cheers chaps. I'm happy with them. I just need to find somewhere to lacquer them and order some tiers and they can go on. I also need to find out if they will fit over the fiesta brakes put Prawn's gonna let me take one round their and see if we can fit one to his car.

I'm now insured for another year with all mods declared.

1275 head
Stage one kit
Minilights
Fiberglass bonnet and boot
mk1 grill
and sound system

Came to a grand total of £1350. Still stupidly expensive but still cheaper then £1800 the other 4 places quoted me.

who's this insurance with??
ive got stage one fitted
fibreglass flip bonnet
sound system
bucket seats
maniflow exhaust
and the cheapest ive found is £2000. although i haven't tried phoning anyone yet.

Mines with Express Insurance. Dont tell them you have a stage one kit and a exhaust as the exhaust part of the stage one kit so your just gonna be putting up your quote for no reason.

How about telling them you have a big bore exhaust, and not a stage one kit. lowers it even more, and its still not a lie.

Right well my lockable bonnet pins arrived today. I'm really pleased with them so I'm gonna order another set tonight. I cant take any photos as I lost my camera

I'll try and get a new one soon.
