Right well last night I started on the disc brakes. I got the pads out then got stuck as the bolts holding the calipers were seized like a ba**ard.

Anyway went back to it this morning and with alot of wd40 and a gentle nudge with a hammer I got them off. The next task is to clean them and get them ready to paint. I'm still undecided if I should do them yellow or not. I don't want to do red as its been done to death. They may just end up black again we shall see.

O yes I forgot to put last night I tried taking the brakes hose out of one the calipers and broke it with the end stuck in their. So I now need to try and get that out before I can fit the new hoses.

Right well today with help from a couple of mates I got the mk2 rear lights fitted.

I think they look sweeeet even if I do say so myself. I gotta say though if I never have to remove and refit a fuel tank ever again then I'll be a happy chappy.

Right well done a couple of bits. I'v ordered a new set of group 2 arches. I was gonna lave it archless but I'v now changed my mind as I think they give the car some charter.

I also had ago at painting one of my brake calipers in yellow hammartie. I did what it said on the tin and yet it still don't look they good. Its gone a bit green for some reason. It is only the first coat so maybe another one may help. I'm not gonna start the second one until I know its gonna look ok.

My old ones are mullered Will. One was cracked when I bought the car and someone backed in to my car in college and ruined one of the front ones. So I was just gonna keep the only too good ones as spares.

Right heres a picture of my new arches.

I didn't bother with any of the rubber bits as the ones that are on my car now are in good enough condition so I'm just gonna reuse them.

Arr thats good to hear. I'll pop over to have a look at this shell sometime. I dunno if I'll have tome before the riv run though as I'm sorting out my brakes at the moment.

Yea well my drums have now well and truly peed me off. They need adjusting as often as I fill the car up with fuel and the front pads on them are pretty worn now so I think its a good idea to get them sorted. Just means I cant use the car to much at the moment. Never mind should be already for the riv run.

Right well I got the end of the hose I got stuck in the caliper drilled out so I can now fit the new hoses. I have also given the caliper another coat of yellow paint. It does look alot better although still does have some green bits to it but it will do for now.
