Right well I worked out what my wheel wobble was. For some reason the ass that owned the car before me bodged the screw that holds the front drum on with a different screw with a massive head. So the wheel didn't sit flush on the drum making it wobble.

So when the discs are on that will get rid of that problem. I also cleaned and fitted the AA badge I got for free from someone from my local mini club.

Right well today was quite an eventful day.

I decided to paint the front of my car with rattle cans with some help from rusty so got some pictures along the way.

First we removed and covered all the bits that we didn't want painted.

We then decided to make out own little spray booth. This is where it all went wrong. I stupidly without thinking knelt on the drivers side wing to nail the cloth to the roof. Doing this I put 2 massive dent in my new wing. Anyway Rustys dad knocked them out and we carried on with the painting.

Our own spray booth

Paint on.

Then let it dry and started putting bits back on.

When taking the tape off we found 2 bits we missed but we got them painted in the end.

Done

I also put these up to the front of my car

What does everyone think? I like them myself but I think I may just do 2 and get some more classic looking lucas ones.

Thats it for now thanks.

Looking much better Jon! Needed a new front end! >_<

Much better with paint on, and not a bad job I must say! Should tide you over until the proper respray :(

Lamps look brill too. Went back to the picture without after, and it looks so much more plain. Definitely on, at least until you get the wheels and black door spots on when it will look less plain without them... Think your plans would suit the lamps too though. If you put them on, definitely 4 IMO

Right well the car made it to Newquay and back with out a problem which was nice. While down their I bought a few bits.
I got some yellow HT leads, some new sun visors, a ino grill with tash and badge as well as a really nice spot lamp bar that bolts in to the front subframe mounts. Sadly I can't get any pictures up as my laptops broken.

O right. Me and my mate were trying to work out what the arches were. I guessed group 2 wides. They didnt seem wide enouth to be group 6's but them I didn't really get a good look at them.

Right now TMF is back up I can update this. I took my mini in for its MOT on friday and no surprise it failed. Things like. Mullered exhaust from speed bumps, fog light switch didn't illuminate, front rubber cone split and hazards didn't work and my steering had alot of play in it. So the cars been in the garage since getting the problems fixed ready for l2b I should pick it back up today with any luck.

Right well I'll give this another update. Basically most of the work is now done to the car. ALthough they are having problems with the electrics. First my hazards would not work and then my sidelights stopped working so they've been trying to find the reason for this. The other problem I have are the headlights them selfs. I bought some one with clear fronts not the normal Wipac ones people get. They looks great only thing is one of the sidelight bulb holders broke. With the normal ones this isnt a problem as loads of places stock it. But as it goes the sidelight bulb holder for the headlights I bought is rarer then then Action Mans sperm. I contacted Wipac and they said they would try and get a new one to me but said it could take weeks and I need an MOT ready for L2B. So I took the plunge and bought another set of headlights. I just got the normal ones this time for the MOT and when I get the sidelight holder I'll put the other ones back in. Its a bit of a pain in the ass but with some luck I may get my car back 2 moz or sat morning and may make it to L2B in my own car. SO everyone keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks.
