YEA YEA its on the list. I will get it done but I'm gonna take the bottom dash rail off while doing it and get one of those recovering kits from retro retrims. I need to strip all the carpet out at some point and hamarite the floor.

Ok well I didn't get as much done as I had hoped today.

I fitted my little badge on the boot that I think looks quite cool.
Posted Image
I have a GB badge for the other side of the number plate but need to get a dent out before I can fit that.

I also went to fit my Mk1 grill with the grill buttons but I cant find my metal drill bits I need to make the hole of the bolts to go through. I did get a pic of it resting in place to get an idea what it would look like though.

Posted Image

I also tryed to fix my lock that my dad broke but couldn't work out how to put it together.

These are the only to bits I have the barrel and some other bit that goes in at the back but I cant work out how as when I put it in a turn the key the door still doesn't lock.

If anyone has any advise on that it would be very helpful.

Thanks. Jon.

Right with help from DaemonChild we found out what was wrong with my lock and I have now ordered the bit I need from minispares. Iv also ordered my self a new foglight and some red rubber covers for my pedals to replace the yellow and black ones I have on their now. Hopefully it should be here by the end of the week so I can get it all fitted next weekend.

Right all my pics should be back up now. I had to pay photobucket to upgrade to pro after going over my bandwidth. :D

Not much happened today anyway. Just have her a quick clean ready for her trip out to the mini meet tonight.

Ok well today I went and bought more bits.

Wheel Bearing's
Posted Image

and a new fog light.
Posted Image

after that I went out in the rain to change them. Now that dedication. I had never done this before so wasnt quite sure what I was doing.
Posted Image

The main reason I needed to do this is because im after some new wheels studs as mine are way to long. You can see here.
Posted Image

So after taking one off I went out to see if I could find anywhere I could buy some. I couldn't. :withstupid:

So after all that I didn't get my new studs and never did put my new bearings in.

Anyway good news is that I will be popping down to Minis'r'us to go get some studs 2moz.

Ok well iv been busy today. This morning I fitted my new fog light.

On.

Iv fitted my new wheels studs.
Posted Image
Posted Image
Their now to short so I can't have my wheel spacers on

Anyway after a trip out to minis'r'us to see if they had any longer studs. But they didn't.

While I was down their I did buy a new GB badge as I didn't like the one I had bought and I also got the washer I needed to fix my lock. :D

Iv also seen a mini van down their that I would quite like but they guy isnt sure if he wants to sell it yet.

Anyway Im gonna go out now and fix my lock and fit my new wheel bearings.

Been doing more work today. I have now fixed my lock so my barrel doesn't keep falling out. After failing to find some new studs my dad decided to have ago at cutting the other ones down to size and rounding the end off so I could still get the nuts on and off.

Posted Image

So I now have my rear wheels back on with the spacers. YAY!

EDIT. I also forgot to add that while ad Minis'r'us I wasted some money on a new GB badge as I didn't really like the one I had bought to go on their.

Not the worlds most exiting update but I bourght some new clips to hold the door cards on as on the them were only being held on by 2 clips. :- Depending what time my dad gets back from work I may change my windscreen seal. I don't really want to do that by myself as I'll properly drop the glass. :)

Also has anyone got any ideas on what radio Arial I should get? I want one that goes on the roof and as I'm going to strip the interior out after xmas I thought I may as well fit that while I'm doing that.

Thanks.

Cheers mate. That aerial looks good I'll have a look in to that one. Means I will have to find somewhere else to put my rubber duck.

I never did get the windscreen done. I really need to do it though as my other one is buggered and Simon wants his tool back.

Cheers, keep up the good work fella - Michael
