Ok well I'v just decided I need some more LED lights. If anyone can tell me what tail lights and reverse lights I need and where I can get them from that would be great. Im not bothered about doing the indicators though as I CBA with putting in resistors.

Right. Well going to mini speed later to have a look round as I'v not been their before. Sadly I now need to add a front bumper to my list of parts I need to buy as someone hit my car in a car park today. Its not to bad its just a bit scratched and bent at one end but it enough to anoy me.

Right well today my stupid car decided to brake down. Came out of work and she just wouldn't start. It was doing this before and I believed it to be the battery as it was a crappy Halfords one. So I forked out for a new battery last monday and it's been fine up until today. So Im now stuck weather I should try and fix it or sell her. She been a right ass recently and as I now cant afford to insure her with all her mods and keep fixing her I really don't know what to do. I would like to keep her but just cant afford it. The MOT is coming up in March and she will fail that as she needs a new front end as the other ones all rusty bent and just generally bodged together. I really need to think hard about what I'm gonna do.

Right well with help from my mum I'm gonna fix the car. Im going to minispeed 2moz to get a new alternator and also some engine steady bushes. My dad has also just paid my insurance for me I just need to pay him when I can afford it.

what happened to the mark 1 bonnet?

the front end doesnt look like an mot failure from the pictures. doesnt look anywhere near.

The Mk1 bonnet is in is lying on my bedroom floor waiting for the little metal bit to be welded in so I can use the bonnet pins. That will be done soon. The front is pretty bad and will be replaced sometime soon. Weather I get it done before the MOT or not I don't know.

Dont you dare sell her. ill help you get her through an MOT the front end aint that bad. and ill tell you where to get it MOT'd its where we take all our old cars and hes really good. he appreciates the fact that its an old car and judges accordingly

And did you buy an alternator?
Because I have a perfectly working 45 amp one spare...

Don't worry my mum's helping me pay for the stuff I need to get her working as well as getting me a head unit for xmas so I will have some music back in the car. The cars going to the garage 2moz morning for them to run an electrical test on it to find any problems. Thanks for the offer Tristan I'll hold you to that.

Tom yea your welcome to the bumper although I don't think I'll be replacing it for a while as I have quite a list of stuff I need to get first. Thanks for the offer of the alternator as well. When I'v found out what's wrong I may be after that.

Right then. Now iv decided to keep her with out from my parents paying my bills. Here what I plan to do with her.

Its gonna be road racer although very standard looking. If anyone has the November issue of mini mag look at page 38. Thats sort of what my car will look like. Same alloys and no arches. Although I wont have a black grill the spots on the door and raised bonnet and also wont be the same colour as I like the colour my car currently is. It inside will be quite a mixture of racey and luxury gadgety stuff. It will have these seats with harnesses.



It will have a sound system with 8 speaker a amp and sub. And when funds allow a freeview tv, central locking and an alarm.

Engine wise it will have a 1380 although that will have to wait until my insurance company stop charging me the world. Before any of these happens I need to get on top on the body work.

Today I also cleared out some stuff from the garage. So I'm now a little closer to getting my car in their.

Well the cars now in the garage waiting your its electrical bits to be tested. Their gonna ring me and tell me what they thinks wrong. Fingers Cross its not to expensive.

Good News. The garage has found the problem. The bracket that the engine steady bolts on to wasn't welded to the car causing an earth problem. So the garage is welding the bracket back to the car and fitting a new earth strap for me. So I will have the car back and working sometime this evening.

When you say "these seats" you don't mean the PINK ones do you?
