Today I have for sale a Home media pc, for those that have no idea what im nattering on about… take a look Here
Genuine reason for sale, having now moved house again, im tight for space… I already have numerous laptops and a blackberry it seems silly to allow it to gather dust. All the funds will be going towards a mini project, lets just hope this one I actually finish!!
Ill Start from the top.
Case: The case is made by Hiper who are most recently known for their power supplies. It’s a slim line home theatre pc based on the mATX form factor. (a review can be found here ) This was the smallest and most realistic case I could get which matched my current setup. Its very slim at perhaps little over 5cm in height and about the size of an average dvd player these days.
Motherboard: The motherboard is a Intel d915gag based on a socket 775
Cpu: Intel Pentium 4 – 2.93ghz @ 133 mhz, I believe this is a Prescott (according to cpu-z) but am unable to verify without removing the heat sink and fan. This has been covered with Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste (the best) and then cooled with Hiper’s slimline 1U Heatsink and fan (HFA-10828 can be found here) Its incredibly quiet utilizing the motherboards intelligent cooling system. The fan runs according to the systems temperature.. obviously if it’s not very hot.. it doesn’t run very fast.
Memory: It’s running a pair of 512mb Samsung memory giving a total of 1024mb.
Hard Drive: It uses a 500GB HITACHI HDP725050G Deskstar with 16mb cache running through sata.
Removable media: A Panasonic (Matshita) UJ-850 slimline Superdrive which is a tray loading multi DVD burner, it offers full 8X recording speeds on DVD±R Discs and the ability to record on DVD R Double Layer and DVD-RAM formats, including DVD±RW and CD-R/RW.
Sound: I currently have a sound blaster pro live! Card installed using a pci flexi adapter, I was using the media centre primarily for sound and music so I didn’t require a tv recording card. I am able to supply one or the other in this instance… the card in question is WINTV 90002 which is a freeview card made by Hauppauge.
That’s the hardware side of things!
I’ll install a copy of either Vista Ultimate or Windows XP media centre these will both be demos which will last best part of the year.
And also a copy of windvd demo. I can supply these with licenses if you want a computer out of the box type scenario.
I can also supply a belkin usb dongle for those who would like it wifi enabled (ill install on your behalf)
Im looking for 140.. but i will take sensible offers. This includes next day special delivery too.
I can accept paypal, but i can also accept cash, postal order, direct bank transfer etc.
