Your gonna need a ball joint spliter to get the one off at the top and bottom! You also need to remove the tracking arm aswell.

O.K., here is the hub removal sequence:

Undo the drive shaft retaining nut after removing the split pin.
Remove the brake caliper attachment bolts - they are 9/16" A/F
Undo the track rod end and, with a ball-pin splitter, break the joint.
Undo and remove the top and bottom swivel pin nuts
Use the spiltter tool to break out both of those joints.
Leaving the drive-shaft in situ (you may have to tap the end of the shaft with a wooden of copper mallet - not a big hammer in order to free it off) remove the hub from the car.

Then you can remove the wheel bearings.
Don't forgett eh spacer and seals when fitting the new bearings
Don't forget the rubber swivel pin caps when replacinh the hubs into the car. Feed the drive shaft through and lightly fit the big drive shaft nut before engaging the swivel pins into the upper and lower arms.
Do the drive shaft nut up very tight. If you have one, use a big flat plain washer under the drive shaft nut first to ensure that it pulls right up, then take the nut off and re-fit with the taper washer. This nut does need to be very tight. Check wheel rotation before lowering thecar onto the ground to drive it.

I don't think I've missed anything and I hope this helps.

Get a bigger hammer. I use a lump hammer and really swing at the forks, but make sure they are not just going up on the hub, make sure they have room to move out.

If your splitter isn't working try using 2 lump hammers and hit either side of the arm where the ball joint goes through, this sometimes squeezes the tapered bolt out.

Don't hit the top though, it will squash the thread and ruin your ball joint.

A lot of the time you can hit the arm as jack said above but with only 1 hammer and the shock will free the joint. It helps to pry the joint as you whack it.

I've actually sheard the pin in the see-saw type splitter and had to revert to a fork type which I don't like as it splits the rubber cap. Even a fork type can spread, so get a really good quality one and use a b****y great club hammer.
