I'm nearing the end of the paint work on the rebuild........

I'm in a quandary though....

Do I schulz or not?
I'm talking about the MIPA underbody spray coating, not bitumen.
The problem is, the underside looks like this....

Which is all very nice, but we all know what happens after 6-month in the north of England.....
I thought about schutzing the underside of the floor pans and high up on the inner of the front wings. Then I can get some clear waxoyle to do the bits of the inner wing you can see and the rear subframe, box section, inner door panels, rear pockets etc...

Whats you views?
by the way, I have no intention of washing the salt off it after every outing, so we better focus on practical, usability and longevity.........not show quality mirror-under-the-car poseur finish :P

Nice job! I've been watching your project thread with interest.

I always like to see body colour showing on the door posts and under the wheel arches - if it were me, i'd think about Stoneguarding it then painting it with body colour top coat... Maybe with a bit of waxoyl in the most out of sight / rust prone areas (closing plates etc)

The problem with that though is I guess it's a lot more work keeping it looking clean & nice.....

cheers guys.
Its all stone guarded already, then paint on top of that.
I have two cans of Schutz though lying around and I was just tempted with doing the flat floor section and the hugh up inner wing area.
I'll sleep on it...(some more :) )
