i was just wondering, how do you get the top and bottom rail off. is it clipped on because i can see these 10mm semi circle peices of metal that seem to be clips but they wont come off with reasonable force because i dont want to brake them because im just curious at the moment lol.
is it these and do i need to apply more force?

im not sure if they are i just remember seeing a few on mine when i look. i may have been looking at something else though
i get distracted....best bet is to get a torch and just look all around them see if theres anything keeping it attached
or wait for some one with more knowledge than me to tell you. lol

There are clips, don't know if there is anything else holding them on. Sorry!

Top rail has either 3 or 4 nuts holding it on, can be accessed from the underside of the top dash rail, can't quite remember how the lower one was fixed in, although i do know you have to remove the center switch panel to some extent. There should be 2 nuts holding the center switch panel on sort of directly behind the lower corners of the panel itself.

Centre switch panel helps hold the bottom rail in (nuts right on the back which are *sarcasm* really really easy to get off *sarcasm*) Then remove the chrome effect strip on the top of the rail which is held on with clips like the seam strips outside.

It'll be easier to get the top upper rail off with the window out.

Listen to the man above, i found the top dash rail a right pig to get out with the window still in, lets just say it didnt come out in one bit
theres 3 bolts on it, one in the middle and one either side.
And as for bottom dash rail i just ripped mine off, was held on with glue, go careful though as i snapped mine when taking it out, i thikn it was because i didnt move the switch pannel because i couldnt get at the nuts.

as abovr top dash rail has 3 bolts one int eh centre and one either end. with a tourch you should find them no problem will be tricky with the window in but can be done
