My walnut dash is getting real creeky and never really seemed to fir properly anyways... so can anyone put me in the direction of a decent aluminium dash at a decent price that will replace the one pictured below?

Or do people think I should replace with walnut effect?

Come on style gurus... help me out

I dont believe I have seen an aluminium centre binnacle dash like the one you would be looking for.

If its any consolation I think your present dash looks very classy, and if you are worried about the creaking and nothing else a new dash would likely have the same effect.

You could always make your own, those ally dashes just have a sheet stuck on, it doesnt go all the way through.

Maybe you could take your dash out and deaden the sound using foam in the trouble spots, you could even cover it in aluminium if you wanted.

If i were you id sticken with the wooden dash though

I have decided to make my own dash (just a simple cut-out really) as I can't "visualise" what a new one would look like... so I will try a couple of effects and see which one is best... maybe put it to a poll :teehee:

@ianbunyan: I have the exact same dash, but mine is cracked and there are pieces of that plastic-walnut-lookalike missing. Would you happen to have any clues as to where I could source another one?
