iv finally got one for the road

im 15 atm and have a year and a haf to finish it but it shud b done a lot quicker lol

i can rember the year but i think shes a special edition model

theres small amouts of rust on rear arch on the inside,10p size patch on rear valance and a bit the size and shape of a ciggarette just past the sill

im aiming for a rally style( as so many do lol ) with no capets,rear seats,roof lining,or heaters

front will b cut off and a fiberglass flipfront will go on ( when i find one)

its a total shell at the moment but i might buy a clubman 2morrow for the subframes and doors,glass ready to start

welding will b undertaken by a family friend and windows will b fitted there aswel as id end up breaking them lol

Good luck with the project but on aside note, seems you have a double post might want to ask one of the Admin/Mods to remove one, this way you only have to update one thread

It looks like a good porject you have got there

If buy the clubman and it comes with a V5 why dont you do a clubman instead (you can get fibreglass clubman front ends). Just a thought. I'd love to do a clubman up with orange and black paint

I like the idea of a rally mini but the noise would drive me crazy, all ive done is got the bitumen soundproof stuff off the floor and im going to put another form of soundproof down (as the bitumen holds water) and carpet it, then put classic bucket seats in and rollcage. An idea if your going to use it as a daily.

if u use flashing as used on roofing acts as a good sound proofing on the floor or even better cheap flooring underlay 10mm thick Spot on

im gonna be attacking my body work coming up soon and then making my mini what it should look like

im in pretty much the same position: 15 with a mini to rebuild. however mine is a lot rustier and my garage is a lot smaller

right sorry im so late replying i havent had a lot of time to even get on computer theese days

unfortuneatly the mini has taken a back seat as its still stuck in the privious owners garage due to me not having time

it will b a while before i can do much on this project as im skint ( other things needed paying for ) and now moving house

yeh i have 2 at the moment 1 race mini and this one also just got rid of one aswel lol, i have now got a vectra SRI,landrover discovery,landrover 90,race mini,this mini,racing nova,sierra for racing prep so im not new to cars lol,the vectra is a donor for the mini, engine and stuff hopefully goin into mini if i dont sell the mini

jus got a vectra SRI as above,transplant engine+box+front suspention into mini,( not sure where by yet) no interior just buckets and harnesses as the mini will b a road and track car,rest of vectra breaking for spares,3 SRI wheels,irmscher spoiler and brand new centre to rear exaust are some of the good bits

hopefully not if i can help it as i now have a job funds should b easier but still for sale at the right price

what's the price? Looks like a bare shell to me, does it come with a logbook?
