I all ready have a topic going for european breakdown recovery, this topic is only to discuss ADAC.

I have been advised that ADAC are very good for european breakdown cover, has anybody used them before?

The things I would like to know specifically are-

1) do they cover vehicles over 20 years old
2) will they tow me home i.e to my uk address in the event of a breakdown or will they say my car is not valuable enough and refuse to do this?
3) do they cover you for an unlimited trip time, I am going for 65 days, most policies only cover for 30 days at a time.

Thanks

If you look into the BH2N section I think you will be able to find some of those answers.

A fair few people have used them on the previous runs.

i had adac cover last year and was rubbish broke down in dover on way home from bh2nurburg run got collected and taken to garage at 6pm then had to sort out my own place to stay over night them took them till 1pm next day to agree to take me half way home was living in hull would only take me as far as rugby

took out over the phone did not tell me half the stuff not covered for , and the stuff they send out to you is all in german no english at all so you cant read it anyway

turns out you only get 500 euro's worth of recovery, if had broke down abroad would have only got me back to england and not home

def wont be using again

i had recovery through insurance year before with adrian flux broke down in gemany , got hire car for 4 days and me and my passanger got flown home and it only cost me £46

so was cheaper than driving home anyway lol

gah, just noticed this after I replied in the other thread.
I havent heard any complaints about value and service from them.

As for the poster above, you bought a service from a German company, was it really that much of a surprise that the paperwork would be in German? Its your own responsibility to check the cover is suitable for your needs, nobody elses.

I think I will avoid them then, it seems its one of those deals that's to good to be true. Also im not comfortable with the fact that everything is in german so I won't know what im covered for.
Thanks for your help everyone :thumbsup:
