is that fully in position and bolted up?

Take it off, and warm/bend the pipe gently so it clears.

Yeh that's fully bolted up. Here's the damage to the centre branch:

I don't have any means to warm it jordie. If i gently beat it with a hammer to make a delve shape (i'll take my time with this) which will make it clear the pot joint i think it might work. Will it crack the metal if i do this?

Cheers,

Andrew

Is the pot joint supposed to have grease inside it? With it coming off due to the manifold i thought the stuff might have come out? :errr:. I've got some castrol LM grease i could put in if it needs it. Not sure what to do with it?

Cheers,

Andrew

Took the exhaust to my dad's work and got a dent put it it to clear the pot joint cover. Hasn't got enough of a dent in it though to clear so i'm going to take it back tomorrow and get it made bigger.

Kool, i'll stick a load of grease in it tomorrow night.

Cheers,

Andrew

Yeh we went through to the fab shop but he heated it up first with the acetylene and hit a piece of pipe to make a nice smooth bend in it. We can't have done enough though because i think it's still catching.

Well, good and bad news. Getting the exhaust dented again tomorrow but the y piece is still hitting the floor :techsupport:. How far is it supposed to go up the manifold? Because i can only get it to go onto the manifold just past where the slots are to make it easier to fit :S.

Oh and also, is it okay to put castrol LM grease inside the pot joints? Or does it have to be something else like copper slip or something?

And to add insult to injury, it looks like i have swine flu so i can't go to IMM >:techsupport: :techsupport:.

I need a new distributor aswell :w00t:. Anybody selling one on here for a 998 that's in decent nick?

Cheers,

Andrew
