Right ... an on topic update for once >_<.

Got my manifold dented to try and clear the pot (which it does thankfully), however it still a bit tight:

It doesn't rub anymore but it's still very lode to the diff:

And the y piece is still catching on the floorpan:

The only reason i bought an LCB is because i've got plans to go to a big bore engine next year. But now it looks like i might have to buy a new manifold next year anyway because this just doesn't look nice anymore . Wish i'd got a cooper freeflow now and not bothered with the LCB to be honest.

On a positive note, it does look better from the back though, Before:

After:

Andrew

Definately something big bore. I'm tossing between getting a 1071 (buying a 1275 and fitting a 1071 crank) or getting a 1293/1330.

After that though i'd probably fit a supercharger so i'd have to buy low compression pistons and what not. So i'm not really sure what i want to do.

I've got a lot of thinking time though because i've got to finish my degree next year first lol.

We had loads of links with the industry through uni mind. Not so sure there will be as much next year due to the fact that it's all disappearing.

Try the next 6 months mate. Once that plants down aswell, there's no switching it back on like a lightbulb. loads of renevation will need to be done because of the high temperatures it runs at (there, i've got my chemical engineering fix for today:P - Apologies for the geek outburst :dontgetit:).

Just a quick one, does anyone know the gap for a spark plug in a 998 metro engine? Can't find my dad's databook.

Cheers,

Andrew
