It's not all doom and gloom though because it's pretty basic stuff what she has failed on:
Offside side repeater not working - new bulb.
Both CV joint gaiter split - new cv joint gaiter.
Excessive CO emissions (4.33% when it should be 3.5) - Turn the mixture down a bit.
Offside front brake is binding - bleed front brake.
I did get some advisories though (again nothing to get het-up about):
Both offside tyres are worn - get new tyres
Rear wheel bearing has slight play - fit a new wheel bearing
So all in all, it wasn't really a bad MOt consaidering. He said she's structurally very sound which is what i wanted to hear really.
Cheers,
Andrew

Gives so much light it's brilliant. Cheers Ben. Which way do i turn it to weaken the mixture off?
Screw in too create a richer mixture
and obviously screw out to lean out the mixture.

Cheers mate, i'll screw it out a couple of turns and take it back for the mot.
Cheers,
Andrew
Give it the beans on the way there aswell! Just make sure it's not too lean and going too run too hot.

I'm going round there tomorrow to set it back properly to about 4% so she should be running sweet by tomorrow night

Now for a another problem...NEVER PRESSURE WASHER A MINI!
This is the result of pressure washering a mini and leaving the area exposed for about 2 weeks:

With the bumper off so i could see the full extent of the damage:

I know it doesn't look like much but i'm glad i've caught it like it is because this could have gotten a lot worse, very soon.
Thanks to my dad, i have a nice, freshly painted bumper lip (i forgot to get pictures with the bumper off after i'd cleaned it up):

In the last picture i think you can see where he's tidied up the bit next to the indicator where it got scratched taking the grill off before. Hopefully this should keep the rust at bay a little longer.
Cheers,
Andrew
