Nope.
Only if it has a hot cam/head, big carb or high lift rockers.
And im going to try and always stay a step ahead on the power front, that is my aim.
Now back on topic, what engine is it?
MG metro? mini 1275, spi?
slap it in asap.

Oh it'll have a hot cam, head and carb
We'll see
It's just 1275 out a clubby so i'm not sure on the spec of it but it needs a rebuild according to the guy i'm getting it off so mayswell bore it out and buy some stuff for it before putting it into the car. I would have prefered a bit more poke but funds wont allow at the moment.

Totally unmolested head aswell (as far as i can see anyway) so should be able to work some magic with it:

Apparently the engine started life in a meastro
Now the decision has to be made. What to do with it? Do i 1380? Or do i make it a bit smaller say 1330 and then i've got an extra bore to go if it breaks.
And i need to decide whether it'll be forced induction or not

43k on the clock and 1 lady owner. Everything i needed in a commute car. Plus a sub 9 second 0-60 so it's no slouch when giving it the beans
Anyway, back to mini business. Essential bodywork maintenance is to be carried out while it's off the road and the new engine transplant aswell. 7 porting it is looking very attractive at the moment but i'm not sure on fuel injecting it or not.
Cheers,
Andrew

I'm gonna guess at a Citroen Saxo VTR. Then again, with your love of toyotas yaris, it could be the T-sport Yaris or the Jap import Vitz RS.
