My computer at work played ball today so i've got some pictures.
This is the cylinder head that the head gasket blew on. It's had a skim and looks pretty nice:

However it does have a small crack, barely noticable, between the bores but it doesn'ty go right through from the 1 to 2:

Just purchased one of these to try and deter thieves from stealing my baby:

.
Bought some halfords classic engine oil aswell so i might give it an oil change tonight because it may have petrol in the oil from the blown head gasket.
Found out last night though that the head of the engine at my dads work has been left out in the rain with the carb mouth open

. It only had 42k miles on the clock aswell. Could have so easily been saved. Nevermind.
The valves on that head are the same size as the ones i already have. My dad was on about another engine that his mate has with bigger valves. It's all rusty inside the bores so my dad left it to soak in acid dip overnight at work so it should be all nice and shiny when he brings it home

.
Cheers,
Andrew
