Hi All,

Got up this morning to find the Mini wouldn't start.

Traced the problem to a loose +'ve battery terminal.

When I had a new battery about a month ago the twits didn't tighten the battery clamp bar properly and therefore the battery had been moving causing the battey terminal to work loose.

Tried to tighten it and managed to get it clamped little tighter, but not as tight as I would like.

My question is - do I have to replace the terminal clamp or can you get shims or something?

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

you tried turning it around? Some of them are tapered so it might be tighter upside down. Failing that, just buy a new clamp, most car shops sell them and you just screw them on like a block connector...
