Hi My name is Derek I live in South Africa and am new to the Mini Forum. I am not new to the Mini car! I have owned four, two 848 Austin Sevens, a 1071 Cooper'S' and a 1275 Cooper 'S' I was an Automitive Engineer but now retired. i worked with Sir Alex Issigonis which I enjoyed. My son has a 1997 Mini Cooper 1.3i Spi which I know very little about. I would like to learn about the fuel injection system and how to solve a problem with the very poor idling speed. Regards to all Mini owners. Derek.

you will find everything you need to know about injection mini's in our injection section,take a look as near enough every spi / mpi fault is listed along with self help and possible causes.
I last visited SA back in 96,visiting the wine route and the stelenbosch gardens ( spelling lol)
