Both ends have loads of ball Bearings, the Outer Joint can be smacked with a hammer to cause the Joint to come off the spring clip. The Inner joint should just pull out, it may come out with all its ball bearings,so dont loose any of them

The centre part of the inner joint ball race fits over some splines on the driveshaft in the same way the outer cv joint slides on so to remove it you need to tap it off the splines,i found it easier to remove the whole shaft and clamp it in a vice as it was quite tight on the splines but other people may have had better luck!

i ended up placing the shaft threw a brick and then hitting the shaft by the split to remove the inner pot joint was a bit of pain but worked well

peel back the gaiter thats on there and knock the joint with a hammer it will come off its splines remove the rubber thats on there slide your new rubber on and then refit the rubber thats on there now, then just knock thejoint back onto its splines

dont lose no ball bearings

can you make things sound any more complicated?? you placed the shaft threw a brick and then hit the shaft to get the end off, i think you must have been sky high on drugs or something either that or your a *melon* that hasn't got a clue..

If you hold the shaft in in a vice and knock the inner joint off using a hammer, i would srongly advise the use of a copper mallet as opposed to a normal hammer as damage can occur to the joint if you use a normal hammer.
