Tow Point When No Towing Eye Is Fitted

as says, i have no towing eye, but i need to tow the mini, i have no choice about time scale, needs to go today so where can i put it? my immediate thought was front of subframe but then realised it would bend up the front panel

Yep by the subframe where the tie bars join the front of the subframe.

take off no. plate and tow from tie bar dont know how right this is but i do it and never a problem

Wouldnt be too much of a problem if you have the upgraded tie bars.
Its better to tow directly from the point where bar joints the subframe and not from the middle of the bar, which is unsafe.

towing on a rope on a main road is ilegal and can give points and fine. you can only use a ridgid pole. it sucks!

no its not

its illigal to tow anything bar or rope if there no insurance or tax on car being towed, no law against towing with rope bar the motorway

before you take notice of what people say on here and end up with points on your license go check it out your self then you will get the correct info.
do a search on here as this was done a while back and i checked it out with the law.

didnt have front number plate either hahahahaha

i wasnt wearin seat belt...by the time i realised i didnt have chance to put it on....a brake light that usualy stays on
