Model:Cooper Sportspack
Year:1998
Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible):I have just lifted the drivers side carpet to find a puddle of water i have some bubbling on the scuttle where it meets the rubber and has made the rubber have the apperance that its swelling in places would this be where the waters getting in? if so would it pay to whip the screen out sort the bubbling spray and replace the rubber? the scuttle itself if fine no rust on the shiny bit :D

Is there any other places i should be looking to?

Any non-standard parts that might be involved with the problem?N/A

If the rubbers swelling it may indicate that theres rust underneath the scuttle?

Paul.

for a temporary solution try putting vaseline around the outside of the seal or into any cracks that may be apparent

same was true about mine until we took the rubber off to discover an entire section of scuttle was missing and a pool of water under it

MPI's where made out of some sort of thick tracing paper :). They are the worst mk's of mini for rust.

You only have to drive though a puddle and they start ot rust :D.

Best way to find out is to fold back the seal you will see if theres anything horible under there without going through the headache of removing the windscreen.

Paul.
