I have just spent 2 hours cleaning 20 years of oil, crud, dirt and muck off of the gearbox casing, bit of a thankless task as it will sit under the car and never be seen. I will know though

Bowden engineering called me, the block pistons, and crank have been honed, polished and cleaned, will be picking up shortly.

Block painted Red, head painted white, hoses will be blue, see a theme developing........

Gava the car a much needed clean and polish ready for Bristol, and got the bluetooth working for the phone, and started the cup holder project. Still no word from MWS about my wheels. Hopefully they will be at Bristol so I can shout at them directly.

Started building my cup holder/centre consul last night, so that should keep me occupied for a little while.

Yes I sorted some out into file on my photobucket account and lost the links, so I have been gradually putting them back on when I have a spare 5 minutes

My cycling has kind of got in the way of the progress of the mini, I really should crack on.

Right, its been a while, but I am back in the frame, the mini is now tucked up in the garage for the winter so its time to get the engine build back up and in.

I have also had some bits and bobs powder coated, will post up some photos when I get some. The whole lot done for £100

Will be coming out of hibernation in the next week or so, need to get some new brakes on the front, and away we go.

Took the car out of the garage today, turned the key, bit of choke, and she burst into life, first time the key has been turned in about 5 months

MOT fail,

Needs 3 patches welding into the floor, and a strip down of the brakes as the rears showed very little performance and the front had an imbalance

Cut the rusty section out of the sill, and welded a patch in, it will have to do for now as time is a factor. Stll got the floor and flitch to do.

Brakes tomorrow.
