looking good keep up the good work
Thanks mate!
I need to turn the engine over by hand, to make sure everything turns no the head is on.
The tappets need to be set. And the timing etc.
The A panels are lined up and will be welded on next week, the brakes also.
I reckon it could be on the road in the next week or so. Fingers crossed

Started dressing the welds, to make them look a bit better, trial fitted the windscreen in the car to make sure I had made the hole for it the right size.
Sorted out the inlet and carb, ready to be fitted,
Need to buy some stuff as some of the old bits are dead or dying.
Need
Hoses (silicone)
Fuel pump
I am sure the list will get longer as the week goes on, so that will mean a trip to somerford on the way home from work tomorrow.
Spoke to Prawn last night, he will be delivering his wheels and brake set up to me on Sunday, so that will mean I can get the shafts and hubs in next week.
Tonights tasks, Brake lines and MAYBE engine in

Got some acid etch around the welds and any bare metal, and Rich has been fitting the brakes,

Turned the engine over, seemed a but tight at first, would not turn, was hearing a metal on metal noise, ...........realised I had left a shell in the flywheel. Once that had been removed, it all turned over just fine.

Manifold done, carb on, inlet on, servo on, brake linkage done, rad in, fan on.
The engine stabilizer bolt hole was not in the best condition, so we had to make up a bracket. But so far everything else seem ok.

It has 4 wheels again, although - I still need to torque up the castle nuts and get the pins in, as well as fit the calipers etc.

Drive shafts and carriers etc, all fitted,

A bit more plumbing in the engine.

Gave a little bounce on the front to test the new springs, they feel like real suspension
