ok mate i did mean the ones on the car now so do you find they fill those arches well also where did you get the upgrade suspention and arches from sorry for all the questions thanks ross

the suspension came from hythe performance, the arches came from moss europe, and the wheels came from midland wheels, but i would spend the extra cash and go elsewhere for wheels. MWS are >_<

They do fill the arches nicely, I tried the standard arches but they didnt cover the tyre, so had to go for the bigger ones.

love it mate! Looking truly awesome on the new arches. SO much more classic, and they work with your new wheels far better.

Interior sounds interesting too! I see you've gone more down the gentleman racer than all out track weapon! (if I were as old as you I'd do the same )

Cant wait to see more pics! Combe in 6 weeks >_<

I dont fit in bucket seats, I tried Ians when we were in Newquay and I just dont fit.

Are you still coming to mine with Pierre on the friday for beer and BBQ? Think Ben maybe coming too! I will start a thread in the meets and events shortly, unless there is one already.

I am going to need your help in the engine swap so let me know when you are available, the 1275 should be out in the next couple of weeks, but Its not going to be ready for combe

The gear linkage refuses to give up the bolt and the roll pin that I have to remove.

And I am fed up of being upside down, or under the car, so I am going to cheat.
The car will now be lifted of the subframe and I can then strip the engine from there.

Managed to get the wheel nuts off though

Ground the front one, so it had 2 flat sides, and used some mole grips, and hey presto, the rear was a bit trickyer, as it was holding on an alloy, so i ground what i could off to flatten it and then whacked an old 14mm socket onto it, Job done! >_<
(socket is now dead...RIP)

haha, Ians wern't bucket seats! they were anti MAN devices, so only tiny fags could go in his car! You should have tried my monacos, even i fit in them with room to spare!

Still, cream recaros will look AWESOME.

You could still have the 1275 in for combe easily mate. get ben to help you whip the engine out of the donor, then get it all painted up and ready on the bench, and I'll come over when I'm back from the Ring before Combe and we will drop the beasty in so you can enjoy some track time!

if you've got the donor engine ready to drop straight in, we could go from running on the 998 to running and driving on the 1275 in a good days work easily!

Ok then chaps, the challenge is on, with Bens and your engine know how, and my BFaI (Brute Force and Ignorrance) Maybe it could be ready in time for Combe, let me know when you are back Ben and we can sort something out.

Cherrs chaps!

Last night we managed to seperate the blue car from the front subframe and engine, I now just need to lift the body up to roll the engine/subframe out. :D

Then the strip down can continue, and i can start cleaning it up ready to be put back together.

Ah well done, I was up in bath over the last couple of days, but I don't have your number because my phone is being fixed and I don't have internet in my new house yet. Anyway, glad you got it sorted.
