need to see the location of the water temp sensor as ive just got one to try and sort the petrol consuption out as its over fuleing


so i need a pic of where it is!!!

its on the side of the head, near number 1 plug , just below the thermostat housing

That will be air temperature i should imagine. You would be in trouble if you have water inside the inlet manifold.

The coolent temp sensor is located in the underside of the inlet manifold, its heated (water) to aid cold starts.

Top replace it you need to remove the injector/inlet as its right underneath.

Lol even funnier is if you gave enough info even I could of answered your question and I have never owned or worked on an spi :thumbsup:

Overfueling could be your oxygen/lambda sensor failing, they are well known for failing on SPI's. Temp sensor fault I would of thought could cause rough running on cold and also your temp guage not working.
