Hi all, dont know if anyone can help... my electric shutter has broken on my new unit!!! >_< :D ;)

I turn the key to go up and it blips the shutter then .. nothing!

Any ideas or solutions?

I need to get in!!!

Have you tried levering or pulling the door up whilst turning the key(may be tricky on your own!!)

Its what I'd try and do first, don't go mad and try and force it up!!

Have a look at the door and see if its sitting evenly in the frame, it may have come down on the skew, if it has lever up the side thats closest to the floor.

(hope that makes sense!!)

Just check the bit where the shutter goes into the slides, if some kids have jammed bits of wood in there then the clutch on the motor won't pull the door up. Other than that if it's a new unit as in just built then the doors should be under warranty, nt that that will help you get in until the installers arrive.
