Have you put the cone in the right way up?

Paul.

Is the cone seated correctly ? Did you grease the threads? Is the compressor at the end of the thread ? Should need very little compression to get the lower arm COMPLETE WITH the trumpet and ball-end already fitted into place. have you removed the rebound stop ??

Seems that cone isnt settled correctly..Release the compressor out the cone, take off the cone, regrease threads, then refit the cone careully in its seat, and restart with the compressor tool. A brand new cone needs a lot more compression than an old knackered one, so be carefull cause if cone snaps will be very dangerous.

your old cones were collapsed..and takes a lot to compress new ones.Have you refitted upper arm yet? If not fit trumpet and knuckle before the suspension arm.

the one on the outside of the tower

I've just installed the Mini Tastic coil spring and hi lo kit to my pickup. When I got to the job, I discovered that they were already fitted with hi los! So, I have a set of budget hi los if you need them / might make the job easier than the fixed alloy trumpet.

Richard.
