Hello!!

I have a doubt . some of you refer to yokohama 165/70 R10 A008 model as "A008" and other people refer as "A008R"

A008 exists for sure! no doubt. you only need to check the sidewall of the tire to read "A008"

but someone has seen "A008R" in their sidewalls?

in other measurings different to 10" the R means softer compound, just as the A032R or A048R

does this A008R exists? if it exist, what mini-shop has them ready to send abroad?

thank you in advance

They used to exist before the A032R and were indeed a softer compound version of the A008. Any you find now will be pretty useless due to age - use the A032R instead,

They do and will continue to do! But (and only) at the moment they are in backorder due to a new EU law which says any tyre over some width needs a new 'sound' certification (noise level reduction) tobe sold legaly now. So Yokohama is in the process to get the certification for the A008 (the A032R and other allready have it).

We should be very thankfull that Yokohama spends the money to get the certification for such a minor market like 10" tyres... :)

Thanks, I didnt know that. Thats actually quite interesting and good to know. There arent many tyres out there at the moment that grip and last like the A008s.
