Fair play! But don't smarts handle like boats?! I test drove one years ago and the gearbox was useless as well, massive delay between changes.

If they could sort the handling and the rubbish flappy paddle gearbox that's a great little project!

Fair play! But don't smarts handle like boats?! I test drove one years ago and the gearbox was useless as well, massive delay between changes.

If they could sort the handling and the rubbish flappy paddle gearbox that's a great little project!


They look quite top heavy and dont seem to have the centre of gravity a mini does. Doesnt really matter in a straight line 1/4 mile, just on the country lanes

That's why it is a automated 3 speed gearbox with 3 overdrive gears... :thumbsup:

They look - but aren't realy :w00t: My mom has a Smart convertible with 195 tyres - that thing goes round corners like stink! But you have to be very carefull, because if it oversteers it does it instantly. A tribute to the short wheelbase; which also makes it handle very nervous. If you ever get that far... The REALY bad part is the über aggresive ESP and extrem understeering made suspension setup... Long story short: it can go astonishing fast - but without any fun. Realy scary even if you'r used to it (I drove one for half a year or so).
