I need to fit a wing mounted aerial to my restoration but im lazy and i want the electric ones (that come up and down automatically)
Has anyone fitted one? if so where can i find them?
Cheers,

Sometimes with electric aerials, they sit quite low inside the wing so wheel clearance is reduced.

So, if you do fit one, makes sure the wheels can't catch it.
This was with 12" wheels by the way, with 13's id have thought it would be even worse

Shame really, it was much nicer than the rubber thing i have now!

I fitted an electric aerial today. It was bought from Halfords for £11.24. Works well and gets perfect reception.
I have 13x6 sportspack wheels and there is no problem with clearance, loads of room.
I can take some pictures and measure the clearance if you want.
Let me know and I’ll post some up for you.

I took some quick pictures when I was fitting the aerial.

The old aerial is still in the way and I haven’t put the bracket on yet but you get the idea. I turned the base sideways so that it was further from the wheel.

I can take some clearer pictures if you need them or measure the overall length so you can compare if you go to buy one.
