Hi can you buy any Programs for the EFI Mini's? Use with your Pc & connect to it? & some sort of plug?

I'm thinking of buying a Auto mini in Aus & there is no one who can really reset these auto's he said it is running "ok" but a bit rich.

no one owns a computer to do it. i have never worked on a Efi mini only Carby models. how do the 1275 Auto's go?

not sure what to do.

great buy though would be about 1000 pounds. with Aircon etc etc all rover Interior.

can that be converted to manual later also? or would i need a new Block?

http://www.uniquecar.....s=mini morris

thanks :D

Best to ask about this in the Injection specific forum....

An Auto block can be machined to accept a manual box - but the cost and effort of the work involved totally outweighs the cost and effort of simply fitting a complete manual engine...

Yes, it is running the Single point injection set-up.

Interestingly it also has the Australian type Door handles that we never got over here in the UK.

Motor is listed as 1285 - It is not, it's a 1275cc engine.

it is a Mini K they have burst proof door handles.

my main concern is the Computer & keeping her running ok.

as i said i have only owned carb models before.

he did mention he sent the computer of to be reset once & it run like a dream 8 months ago but the son has lost Intrest in mini's

wants a skyline :D

the mini is running a bit rough or in his words (Ritch)

I'd expect it to need a good hard service - replace all the vaccum hoses, clean all the electrical plugs, connectors and joins and then see how it goes... they're very resilient engines if taken care of.

Oil change every 3000 miles without fail.

Check for rust under the carpets in the footwells, under the headlamps, behind the rear subframe, boot floor, inside of arches... everywhere really.

There's a topic on the go about code readers for injection cars at the moment. I don't think you can just hook it up to a pc but there are stand alone readers about. Ebay, esp UK, is a good place to look since the demise of all those Rover dealers.

yep i will drive it tomorrow and see how it runs.

i guess it is a matter of taking the pipes of & giving them a good clean, can any one link me to new vaccum hoses.

ill buy new spark plugs & oil fuel filter i reckon i could be in luck.. do the spi's take the same oil filters & spark plugs as a carby 1275.
