I've read that you can use a 50/50 mix of water and antifreeze in place of hydrolastic fluid. Any comments?

Wheres the best/cheapest place to get Hydrolastic fluid? Anyone got any for sale?

Anyone ever used any other homebrew concoction/recipe?

i buy mine from my local motor factors (partco), its about £10 for 5 litres, it also contains a rust inhibitor i believe.

MGF's are hydrogas so I'm sure you can still track some down. I've also heard of antifreeze being used, sounds plausible as it's also a corrosion inhibitor.

Short term antifreeze will work fine - but dunno what longterm damage it may cause.
